ALBAWABA - After news of the collapse of a bridge in Baltimore, Maryland, on Tuesday morning, conspiracy theory fans claimed that the American cartoon series The Simpsons predicted the tragic event in one of its previous episodes.

As soon as videos of the bridge's collapse circulated on social media platforms, theorists started to share clips from an episode of The Simpsons' famous American series, claiming that it predicted the bridge's collapse years before it happened.

According to social media users, many started to promote the fact that the incident of the ship colliding with the bridge was "fabricated" and that it was pre-arranged, just like many events being planned by a "lobby" that controls the entire world.

The footage circulating on social media platforms recently is taken from the eighth episode of the 35th season, in which Homer screams in Scotland. However, people who share the video are trying to link Scotland's Forth Bridge (as shown in the episode) to the Baltimore Bridge collapse in the US.

Meanwhile, another user pointed out that the Baltimore bridge collapse incident is more related to the episode shown in 1996 when Hank Scorpio created the Doomsday Device and demonstrated its capabilities to the government by blowing up a bridge.
